About the role:

One of the first marketing positions we’re looking to hire for is a Senior Content Marketing Manager. This is an incredibly important role with lots of future growth potential at a fast-growing company.

You’ll have the chance to help shape our content strategy, storytelling, and brand positioning. The ideal person appreciates the value of quality content and understands how content can support other marketing channels such as SEO, conversion rate optimization, brand, and PR. Initially, you’ll be a team of one and report directly to the CMO, but we’ll look to bring on other writers or content marketers to support your efforts as needed. 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in content marketing or content strategy 
• Exceptional persuasive writing, proofreading, and editing skills 
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• You’re comfortable taking on new projects and figuring it out as you go along
• Understand how to balance strategy with execution, and won’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves to get projects across the finish line
• Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Craft compelling content including blog posts, landing pages, case studies, thought leadership articles, and reports
• Help map out a content calendar that supports different marketing and business objectives 
• Conducting keyword research and content gap analysis using tools such as SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs
• Research what prospective customers are looking for at different phases of their buying journey
• Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze website traffic and engagement metrics
• Refresh existing content to ensure it’s up-to-date and optimized for SEO
• Bonus points if you have experience with social media marketing
• Bonus points if you have experience with tools such as MarketMuse, Clearscope, or Frase
