Reporting to the VP of Product and Solutions Marketing, this role will develop and execute solution and product marketing fundamentals: segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, buyer/user personas, solution launches, competitive intelligence, and market research.

In this role, you will define, build, and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing segments and verticals, solution and product initiatives. This entails research, analysis, and development of market insights and the subsequent market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and messaging to drive increased traction in strategic markets.

This is a cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with product development / management, marketing, communications, sales, and partnership teams as well as the analyst community. It requires the translation of customer needs into inspiring solution narratives to fuel expansion into new markets and personas, and strategies for campaigns that deepen connections and drive opportunities for sales engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define key segments (horizontal and vertical) and build the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for them
  • Work closely with Sales, Partnership and Product teams to understand our customers, their challenges, and the competitive landscape; clearly define our target customer and buyer persona(s)
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to ensure continuous understanding of the competitive landscape and solution differentiation
  • Drive cross-functional, internal collaboration to execute messaging workshops to develop positioning and messaging frameworks that serve as foundations for all marketing content and sales messaging
  • Collaborate with sales enablement to ensure marketing messaging is translated into sales messaging for consistency and resonance
  • Speak and present internally and externally to promote the story of the solution/product


  • 8-10 years’ experience in product/solution marketing and/or marketing strategy within the B2B technology space
  • Proven track record of executing successful solution/product launches
  • Deep acumen in segmentation, targeting, positioning and messaging disciplines
  • Ability to extract unique insights from multiple data sources, and make informed decisions that balance the art and science required to build compelling solutions
  • Excellent internal and external written and verbal communication skills and ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative presentations
  • Ability to develop, organize, update and maintain documentation
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Preference for working in a remote but collaborative, cross-team capacity
  • Growth-oriented, customer-centric, strategic mindset
  • Proven experience engaging enterprise-level customers
  • Ability to deal with change with a passion for innovation and creative problem solving
  • Ability to quickly learn and become fluent in new technologies
  • Creative, analytical self-starter with natural intellectual curiosity
  • Strong passion for understanding customer requirements and market dynamics, particularly in vertical markets
  • Highly adept at negotiating and influencing within stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage research to develop messaging and programs that drive growth

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/related discipline or commensurate relevant work experience


The base salary will be competitive, but largely dependent on the experience and skills of the candidate. Bonus and equity. Afiniti also offers standard corporate health benefits and a 401k
