Position Purpose: The Insights & Strategy Leader is responsible for the creation of strategies and market plans that allow ITA Group to grow the sales and profitability of our solutions and services. The Insights & Strategy Leader is accountable for market definition, competitive research, internal training, and business and marketing plan development and vision (including messaging, positioning, go-to-market strategies and lifecycle management). The Insights & Strategy Leader is responsible for executive level reporting on solution performance. They will collaborate with sales, sales support, product, operational and analytics teams to create and manage ITA Group solutions.

Accountabilities & Performance Expectations: 

  • Execute concrete plans that drive results and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions. 
  • Conduct market research including need definition, trends, competitive analysis and win/loss analysis.
  • Be an expert in the B2B knowledge search space, acquiring a solid grasp of our competitors and their products, as well as the motivations, needs, and behaviors of our client users across our audience segments.
  • Develop a deep understanding for the full suite of solutions and services to develop a high-level marketing strategy for each audience segment, paying particular attention to our marketing buyers and our customer solutions portfolio.
  • Create and develop holistic value propositions (concept, product, positioning, financials, go-to-market plan) that meet the needs of the consumer target and that can be sustainable business models.
  • Develop category and competitive business assessments and identify opportunities to disrupt through product and business model innovation.
  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of pricing strategies in coordination with Sales and Operations.
  • Develop solution vision and align internal team members with the vision and plan.
  • Evaluate the performance of solutions through win/loss and ROI analysis.
  • Collect and navigate data to distill insights; using intuition and qualitative research techniques when data is not available.
  • Analyze marketing results to learn, iterate and optimize the marketing strategy and execution.
  • Provide quarterly executive-level briefings on solution performance.
  • Manage the solution portfolio's strategic planning including prioritization of investments and marketing activities.
  • Be an internal and external champion, evangelist and expert.
  • Develop and facilitate solution training for Sales, Solution Development Services, Sales Engineers, Divisional Vice Presidents, Account Executives and other team members who would benefit by this training.
  • Attend industry events as approved by senior management, presenting on behalf of ITA Group.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships to support solution delivery. Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  • With the Marketing Strategy team, champion the development of an innovative and consumer-centric culture throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate an agile mindset of developing, testing, and iterating. Preference for being scrappy and adept at learning in real life (try, learn, modify).

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or another related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in marketing customer engagement solutions to enterprise clients.
  • Demonstratable marketing skills, particularly for sophisticated, time-constrained B2B professionals.
  • Experience launching consumer solutions and services, tracking effectiveness, reporting results, and refining approaches to improve performance.
  • Experience in demand generation, social media, digital marketing, content marketing, storytelling, influencer marketing, or project management preferred.
  • Experienced storyteller – ability to turn market knowledge into a written story with key messages that can be shared externally and internally.
  • Event experience preferred including finding the right outlets, managing a booth presence, sourcing speaking engagements, managing follow-up and more.
  • Curiosity and drive: resourceful self-starter excited to take initiative, drive things forward and deliver results. Naturally curious about business and drivers of growth; committed to truly understanding clients and users — their needs, interests, sensitivities, career journeys, and buying behaviors — to make the best possible decisions and guide marketing strategy in the most effective direction.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to empathize with our clients and help shape and verbalize solutions that meet their needs.
  • Communication skills: active listening as well as exceptional writing and presentation skills; able to synthesize complex information into compelling customer messaging and relay product and marketing plans to multiple audiences.
  • Interpersonal skills: high EQ, natural ability to build rapport with many different people quickly; gravitas to convey expertise along with the humility to accept feedback and others’ points of view in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Track record: proven record of achievement in professional, academic and/or extracurricular activities
  • Ability to travel (as needed) to ITA Group regional offices and client locations as requested by clients or internal team members to support presentation and sales efforts.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
