Grizzle is a content marketing and SEO agency that helps B2B, SaaS, and tech companies create and distribute actionable and value-driven content. Clients include Pipedrive, CXL, Wynter, Web.com, Yac, and Tide to name a few. Our goal is to help them surpass their traffic, acquisition, and growth goals using a proven organic growth methodology.

We’re a remote team of marketers and creators who don’t believe in the 9 to 5. As long as work gets done it doesn’t matter when you do it.

About the job

We’re looking for Content Marketing Managers to help lead client success for a portfolio of accounts.

You’ll be in charge of overseeing the development and execution of content strategies, managing client relationships, and collaborating with a team of writers and editors to help them plan, produce, and distribute the best content in the industry.

We’ve created killer content marketing & SEO methodologies that help our clients get thousands of visitors to their blog every month. Our content often ranks on page one in highly competitive markets. If you get a buzz from seeing clients succeed, it’s likely you’re a good fit.

What you’ll be doing

This is a client-facing role that involves ensuring content workflows run smoothly and achieving results. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Content strategy development: Build out content strategies for new and existing clients. Conduct customer interviews, data-driven research, topic ideation, keyword research, and produce a roadmap for content marketing success.
  • Project management: Ensure project deadlines are met and tasks are assigned to the right people. You’ll be working with systems and processes we’ve developed using Airtable and Asana to create and manage editorial plans for clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of content marketers: Work with Content Specialists to bring content to life. Help them become the best writers and content marketers they can be. Guide them through our internal training and provide constructive feedback on their work.
  • Collaborate with editors and marketing specialists: Work with our team of Editors and Content Coordinators to ensure content is polished to perfection and gets results.
  • Client management: Keep on top of client communication. Ensure clients are happy. Intake requests and make decisions on execution.
  • Reporting and analysis: Produce monthly organic growth reports for clients. Conduct quarterly strategic planning sessions to audit content performance. Make recommendations, and plan content optimization activity to improve KPIs.
  • Get involved with hiring: Help us attract and retain a team of high-performers as we grow. Onboard and train new Content Specialists and other members of the team.

We’re looking for Content Marketing Managers who have:

  • An ability to think strategically and aren’t afraid to take initiative
  • Strong organizational skills and are self-starters
  • A systems-thinking mindset
  • Experience working in the B2B space
  • Strong communication skills
  • A desire to develop their content, SEO, and marketing skills
  • Experience managing content workflows (from brief creation and content production all the way to distribution)
  • Experience in developing content strategies for B2B companies (desirable but not essential)

What does the interview process look like?

From a high level, the interview process is comprised of five stages:

  1. A short call to learn more about you, share our story, and answer any questions you have
  2. A (paid) test task involving creating and reviewing a content brief plus a short writing assignment
  3. Long-form interview with the hiring team (CEO, Head of Content)
  4. Reference checks
  5. Job offer
