Deep North is an AI and Computer Vision company that digitizes and analyzes video footage from existing CCTV cameras to provide real-time data, insights, and alerts to help brick and mortar enterprise make faster, more data-driven business decisions. We provide metrics ranging from footfall, occupancy, guest demographics, dwell times, customer journey, queue management, associate or staff interaction for retail, hospitality, airlines, shopping centers, and restaurant industry customers.
We are looking for a Marketing Director to lead our outbound marketing and communications activities. You’ll be responsible for not only defining our marketing, communications, and content strategy but also presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. The ideal candidate has a blend of strategic mindset, product and/or solutions experience, value models, and experience in bringing new products/solutions to global markets.
THE ROLE
As Deep North’s Marketing Director, you will help chart the course of brand marketing and communications programs that support our ambitious growth plans. You will be a master of your craft, a marketing generalist with proven success in helping brands tell their stories, win clients, and gain share of voice. You are that rare individual who can think strategically while rolling up their sleeves and putting plans into action. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and are comfortable disrupting the status quo and doing things differently. As chief evangelist for the Deep North brand, you are a strong communicator. You lead by influence and can rally stakeholders, from investors to internal partners, around initiatives that create growth for the brand and the business.
You will support cross-functional teams in crisply articulating brand and product value propositions and will help drive all marketing activities towards clearly defined audiences and sales goals. You will lead in the planning and execution of rolling go-to-market campaign plans—all while keeping a keen eye on delivering consistently exceptional brand experiences for our customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with product, sales and operations teams on all things related to the brand, including positioning, communication of value proposition, and launch strategies
- Define and run comprehensive earned/owned/paid go-to-market campaign strategy development and execution in partnership with internal team and external agency partners
- Develop, onboard and manage essential agency partnerships to support marketing activities and brand growth
- Own the growth and maintenance of all brand channels, establishing vendor partnerships where needed to support external communications
- As needed, advise on market research and customer analysis to gain expertise and insights that can be used to influence product and represent the voice of the customer internally
- Serve as the “hub” for a holistic understanding of the brand, the industry, and the customer
- Create and manage all brand and product collateral, case studies, product demos, brochures, presentations, and more to support sales efforts and client engagement
- Develop, maintain, and share templates and systems for all external-facing branded product touchpoints, including brochures, photography, digital content, and more
- Work with colleagues across product, sales, and operations to drive consistent brand communications and customer touchpoints
- Lead and influence others in building a culture of customer-centered, data-backed decision making
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience partnering with product & cross-functional teams to successfully bring B2B products to market
- 10+ years of experience in fast-moving corporate, startup, or agency environments
- 8+ years working in a product marketing capacity
- Retail industry experience is a plus
- Experience with environmental brand applications such as special events and tradeshows
- Customer obsession: a deep understanding of audience and ability to glean insights from research and develop feedback loops within marketing plans
- Proficient technical editing and creative copy writing capabilities is a must
- Experience problem solving and tackling problems with a creative mindset, creating recommendations, and driving the action plans
- Project management skills, with experience developing and executing marketing strategy
